Spiritual Terms Used In Readings
The following are common spiritual words or terms found within the readings I give. I provide them here with their definitions, as well as how I personally view or use them.
Clairvoyance:
This literally means clear seeing. Clairvoyance is the ability to gain information by accessing a higher or sixth sense, sometimes called extra sensory perception (ESP) or the sixth sense. As a clairvoyant I believe that the sixth sense is actually Spirit, or The Higher Principle. I receive my information in the form of images, some random and some with continuity. I provide the querent with the images I receive as specifically as possible, without editing or over-interpretation on my part. Editing and over-interpretation only muddies the waters. The querent always realizes what the information is, whether at the time of the reading or later, as truth dawns.
Clairsentience:
A type of paranormal feeling, or clear feeling (just as clairvoyance is clear seeing). Beyond being clairvoyant, I am also clairsentient and clairaudient (the latter to be explained below). This means I can actually feel a querent's situation or inner state. This lets me understand where you are and how you feel about your situation; whether irrational, stable, peaceful, agitated, fearful, etc. Many times success and clarity are obscured by our feelings about our selves and our present conditions. When we clear away the irrational and bring peace and clarity, our life purpose becomes more apparent and we are more able to follow our destined path.
Clairaudience:
A type of paranormal hearing, or clear hearing. With me, this means that at times I can pick up words or sounds that are not in my physical environment, but on another realm or in another dimension. In the churches I attended as a youth, they would call this a "word from the Lord" or just "a word", meaning a spontaneous uttering from spirit meant to provide some kind of message or clarity. These audible cues are always provided by Spirit and are meant to shed light and bring direction and guidance. I do not clearly hear as often as I see and feel, but all three gifts are equally valuable.
Spirit:
Spirit refers to The Higher Principle or the spiritual realm in general, the latter meaning all forces and divine beings contained in said realm (angels, guides, etc.). Divine beings are different from mundane spiritual beings (ghosts/spirits/random spiritual energy) insomuch as they are more enlightened and more illumined, and also tasked with helping humanity and the world. I do at times, however, receive messages from "regular" spirits, or parties passed-over, but only because they are germane to either the querent or to me. I do not invite or accept any information from any spiritual being that is not as enlightened or more enlightened than I.
Also, within the readings I often refer to your spirit or my spirit (small 's'). This indicates the force within us directly linked to the higher world of Spirit, and not the force from which I receive my information.
God:
I at times refer to God in my readings, and sometimes people wonder who it is to whom I am actually referring. I also reference The Higher Principle, The Creative Force and The Source (among other terminology), which, to me, are the same thing. I prefer never to put God in a box or define him based on arcane notions of the divine or a specific religious organization's idea of God. I think organized religion is man's attempt to reach God, and not the other way around. In any case, God cannot be contained in a box or defined in human, physical terminology. God is more than that. I also often refer to God as a "He" or a "Him", but that is simply because that is what I'm used to, and by no means indicates a theology or doctrine I espouse. God is genderless, insofar as I believe.
Life Purpose:
We were all sent to this planet with something to do. Wayne Dyer refers to this purpose as the "song within us" and cautions us not to die with that song still in us. Some of us are so overwhelmed by chaotic lives and unhealthy relationships that we have forgotten that we do in fact have a higher purpose and that we are here to do something. My readings tend to focus on this, providing tools to correct conditions that may be inhibiting you from reaching your highest potential. Our life purpose does not have to be the same as another person's purpose; it is individual to us and only we can discover what it is and how to live it. When we are living every day in our life purpose, we are finally, truly happy.
Chakra:
The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel or circle. Chakras are spiritual centers within the body and at various times can be healthy, strong and spinning, or blocked and imbalanced, causing corresponding block and imbalance in the physical and spiritual life. I refer a great deal to chakras as I often see their colors associated with certain querents (you). Spirit indicates whether the spiritual center is healthy or imbalanced and this information is passed along to you.
Animal Totems:
A Native American belief that certain spiritual principles, messages and gifts are imbued in the form of animals. Personally, when reading an individual I tend to receive life animal totems and journey animal totems, respectively. An animal life totem is an animal that is with you your entire life, and usually has corresponding aspects or attributes similar to your own. A journey animal totem is an animal that appears in your life now in order to address certain issues or a phase of your journey, and can usually provide messages and inspiration as to how you should proceed. Both totems offer guidance and deeper understanding and are Spirit's way of providing me with a window into your current nature and path/direction.
Tarot:
Allows intuition to emerge by studying a set of 78 cards, called Major Arcana (Trumps) cards and Minor Arcana (Pip) cards. I frequently use Tarot cards, reading entire spreads or at times just one card. My use of Tarot is largely supplemental and meant for enhancement, typically verifying or validating information already received clairvoyantly through Spirit.
Numerology:
Numerology pertains to the symbolism of numbers. Sometimes I see a number or a series of numbers associated with certain querents. When this happens I provide the higher meaning of these numbers and allow Spirit to reveal what these numbers mean for you.
